Haldane UK has successfully completed the contract to manufacture and install the luxury timber handrails and timber treads for 6 flights of stairs in an exclusive members club in Mayfair, London.
The project saw Haldane manufacture almost 100 linear metres of straight and spiral handrails with a 45mm diameter in prime European Oak and mounted onto the handle.
Haldane also demonstrated their expertise in continuous timber handrails by manufacturing the associated 180-degree wreaths, ramps and transitions.
As part of the project, Haldane was also asked to manufacture and install 108 treads featuring acid aged brass inserts and an anti-slip coating system.
Haldane used their timber machining expertise and their 5 axis CNC technology to manufacture 84 straight flight treads with locator channels to the bottom and twenty-four winder treads measuring 1107mm long and 700 mm at their widest point.
