Haldane has secured a major contract in the South of England worth in excess of £200,000 that will see the company hand carve and assemble a range of products including Mashrabiya screens, shoe racks, radiator covers, book shelves, decorative corbels and timber panelling.

Haldane UK is developing a growing reputation for timber machining excellence that extends far beyond its position as one of the UK’s market leaders for handrails, staircases and glazing beads.

The company’s skills have recently called upon to manufacture products such as, bathroom furniture, cots, bedding and decorative panels.

When the Arabic development came to the internal package, the contractor knew Haldane UK was one of the few that could deliver the level of quality and speed required.

Managing Director, Forrester Adam, explained “Haldane may be associated with the latest timber machining technology but many clients are unaware that we have craftsmen with extensive experience in hand carving that enable us to take on these types of projects.”

He continued, “The level of intricacy and the timescales involved make the contract one of the most challenging we have ever carried out, however it is one that we are really looking forward to.”
