Haldane Staircase Featured in Beautiful Homes Magazine

Haldane has seen its workmanship featured in many prestigious projects and we have won many accolades for the quality and precision of our timber handrails however we still get a little excited when one of our projects is featured in a magazine.

So when the latest copy of 25 Beautiful Homes dropped through our door, we were delighted to see one of our handrails featured.

The project saw the refurbishment of an existing staircase where the client opted to replace the existing handrail with a new continuous handrail manufactured from European Oak.
Bespoke Staircase for Scotland Farmhouse

Haldane UK has manufactured and installed this stunning bespoke staircase in European Oak for a refurbished farmhouse in Perthshire Scotland.

The flared staircase features a sweeping profiled handrail that spirals up from the feature wreathed volute and flows seamlessly onto the atrium level.

Featuring timber spindles, oak bull nose treads, a cut stringer and a contoured closed stringer, the stunning staircase was manufactured off site in the Haldane headquarters and then re-assembled on site with pinpoint accuracy.
European Walnut Radiator Covers from Haldane UK

Haldane UK has shown its capabilities as a bespoke furniture manufacturer by supplying this exquisite solid European Oak radiator cover with ornate brass inlays for a major project in the South of England.

Haldane has seen a dramatic rise in enquiries for furniture and furniture components using its expert timber machining as more companies recognise the time and cost savings available.

This latest project saw Haldane manufacture two radiator covers in the same design but with one in solid oak and one in European Walnut.
Haldane Produce Stunning Timber Carvings with Arabic Writing

Haldane UK has produced twenty individual carvings each with its own Arabic writing in European Walnut for a major client in the South of England.

The panels were produced using Haldane’s market leading CNC machines which deliver the ultimate in precision in quality, however the project was not without its challenges.

Each carving required to be individually programmed by Haldane’s team of experienced programmers working from CAD drawings supplied by the project’s design team.
Double Elliptical Glazing Beads Are Probably the Most Delicate Glazing Beads in the World

Haldane UK has demonstrated its expertise in bespoke glazing beads by manufacturing one of the most complicated and delicate projects that it has ever undertaken on behalf of a specialist door company.

The design of these stunning glazing beads saw two overlapping elliptical beads, which would be challenging in itself, however with one of the elliptical fully glazed and the other bead overlaying the door, Haldane’s reputation for quality and precision was put to the test.
Haldane Manufacture Timber Screens for Olympic Stadium

Haldane UK has secured the contract to manufacture 48No 2.5 metre x 1.5 metre screens in Siberian Larch for one of the Stadia to be used in the 2012 London Olympics.

The project will see Haldane UK use their timber manufacturing expertise to create the panels which will adorn the media entrance to the stadia of one of the world’s largest sporting events.

The location of the panels means that they will undoubtedly receive massive media attention and as such have to be manufactured to the highest standards possible.
Timber Drinks Tray

Haldane UK has manufactured this stunning drinks tray in American Black Walnut for one of the UK’s leading shopfitters.

Measuring some 480mm in diameter including the 10mm lip and tapering to the centre point, the drinks tray was manufactured using Haldane UK’s 5 axis CNC machine to ensure pinpoint accuracy.

The drink tray is another example of Haldane’s expertise in timber machining from traditional turning through to the complex 5 axis CNC machining.
Helical Handrail and Stair Components From Haldane UK

Haldane has manufactured and supplied stunning bespoke spindles, newels, handrails and base rails made from European Oak with a lime finish to give the helical feature staircase an aged finish in the refurbishment of a private dwelling in Greater London.

Working in conjunction with one of the UK’s leading architectural joinery firms, Haldane UK manufactured the 45mm oak spindles to a custom design supplied by the client and a bespoke designed handrail.
Haldane’s Complete Staircase Solution

Haldane UK has demonstrated its expertise in manufacturing and installing complete staircases with this stunning fantail staircase in a luxurious Glasgow home.

Manufactured from American Cherry, the continuous spiral handrail is complemented with matching treads, risers and stringers and set off perfectly with contemporary mild steel spindles finished in black.

Haldane UK’s unique ability to machine complex timber components ensures the continuous handrail spirals effortlessly through transitions into the horizontal rail and forms the first floor atrium area.
Elegant Handrails Provide Perfect Finish for £1 Million Home

Just to prove that Haldane isn’t all about intricate profiles and complex components, Haldane’s latest project delivered the perfect finish for a £1million luxury home in London using a simple 70 x 45mm elliptical handrail.

Manufactured from Sapele and fitted on contemporary black metalwork, Haldane has added its stamp to the project with subtle finishing touches such as the rounded bull nose to the landing and the scrolled ram’s horn to finish at the bottom of the staircase.
