Haldane's Skills To Receive Parliamentary Appreciation

Haldane UK, the UK's leading manufacturer of timber handrails and stair components, has achieved a unique political coup by ensuring its expert skills are appreciated by every Member of the Scottish Parliament for many years to come.

Fife based Haldane UK has precision machined almost 800 timber bars in European White Oak to create an imposing feature to the exterior of the MSP offices for Scotland’s most prestigious construction project.

According to the Barcelona based architects, Enric Miralles Moya, the timber bars serve a dual purpose. Firstly they are designed to provide the MSPs with privacy in their offices and secondly they aim to provide an air of tranquillity for the MSPs.

Haldane UK’s Managing Director, Forrester Adam, said "We are thrilled to play our part in this historic development and we are confident that our work becomes one of the most recognised features."
