Haldane is
Key To University Success
Haldane has
manufactured and installed over 200 linear metres of 50mm diameter steamed
beech handrail at the Keyworth Centre, which offers state of the art teaching
facilities at London South Bank University.
The 9 storey
development forms part of a major redevelopment for the establishment
which recently achieved University status and has undertaken a complete
rebranding exercise.
Haldane’s
Managing Director, Forrester Adam, said “We are delighted to have
successfully completed this contracts it demonstrates our increased competitiveness
in more straight forward contracts which are dominated by straight rail.”
Haldane’s
increased efficiencies have been achieved by their ambitious continuous
improvement programme which measures and reassesses every process in the
company on an ongoing basis.
The programme
follows on from a major transformation exercise which was completed almost
12 months ago and saw a complete redesign of the factory and the installation
of a 1000 sq ft mezzanine floor to accommodate additional machinery.
Forrester
explained, “Last year’s exercise significantly increased our
production capacity which has been necessary to meet increasing workloads.
However we recognise that to maintain our position and reputation in the
market we must continue to raise our market leading standards of efficiency
and service.”
