Haldane Success Continues To Soar

Haldane UK, the UK's leading manufacturer and installer of timber handrails has landed another prestigious contract with the completion of European Oak handrails to the Scandinavian Airlines boarding gate in Heathrow's Terminal 3.

The contract involved the manufacture and installation of over 50m of 62mm diameter European White Oak handrail with associated drop ends and bends, mounted on architectural metalwork and structural glass balustrade.

Using Haldane's digitising equipment to plot the core rail and the company's timber machining expertise, the contract was completed on time, within budget and to the works schedule which was agreed with the contractor.

Haldane's Managing Director Forrester Adam said, "We are the only company that we are aware of that takes the time to survey the metalwork with our state of the art digitising equipment and the superior quality of finish we achieve is testament to the meticulous detail the equipment allows. It ensures that the handrail we machine fits first time, every time, which is a feature of our service contractor's relish."
