Haldane's New Business Development Manager Takes Company To Dizzy Heights
Haldane UK's
newly appointed business development manager has taken the company’s
success to dizzy heights as the company completed a stunning feature staircase
on the 30th floor of the HQ2 Building at London's Canary Wharf for the
Canary Wharf Construction Company.
The entire
30 storey building, which consists of 1 million square foot of floor space,
has been leased Lehman Bros, one of Wall Street's last remaining independent
investment banks.
Business
Development Manager, Scott Kennedy, who successfully project managed the
contract, which features a fantastic spiral staircase consisting of 30
linear metres of profiled handrails and newel posts manufactured in American
Black Walnut. The luxurious spiral handrail sweeps seamlessly into the
huge 150mm x 150mm custom designed newel posts via stunning wreath components
expertly machined by Haldane's 5 axis CNC router.
The contract
also required Haldane to install a special American Black Walnut veneer
to the stringer section of the staircase and manufacture and install back
infill panels to hide the fixings to the metal balustrading for an impeccable
finish.
Haldane also
demonstrated their craftsmanship by hand carving capping blocks to the
newel posts to ensure a smooth perfect finish to the job.
Scott, said,
