HALDANE MAKES A MOVE TO MAYFAIR

Two of the most prestigious addresses in the country are to be graced by handrails made by the Fife-based firm Haldane UK Ltd.

The company, the market leader in the manufacture of specialist handrails, glazing beads and decorative wood products, has won the contract to manufacture and install handrails at office developments in the heart of London's Mayfair.

The £25,000 contract involves installing handrails to spiral and elliptical staircases at 76-78 Brook Street and 28 Gilbert Street for Dane Engineering Ltd. of Newcastle.

The projects are being managed by Bovis Europe. American maple has been chosen for the Brook Street development, while American white oak is being used in Gilbert Street .
