Haldane Enhances CNC Capacity
Haldane UK has continued its investment programme to reinforce its position as the market leader in the architectural joinery and timber machining market with the installation of an additional CNC machine.
The company revolutionised the UK 's architectural joinery market in 1996 when it purchased its first 5 axis CNC machine - a decision so successful that a second machine followed shortly after. The latest investment sees the company considerably expand its CNC capacity to meet the growing demand for the company's bespoke architectural joinery services.
Managing Director Forrester Adam explained, "Our success in the continuous timber handrails market has placed considerable pressure on our lead times. The investment in the latest machine will not only allow alleviate this pressure, it will also allow Haldane to be more competitive in the intermediate market."
Haldane's Senior Production Manager, David Sinclair, continued, "The latest machine features 3 heads and an 4m table allowing multiple components to be manufactured at once. This will obviously reduce the lead times we currently offer on some of our existing products however the most exciting element of this new technology is that we can now be competitive for products such as furniture components, signage and some bespoke items."
The new equipment has already attracted considerable interest from Haldane UK 's existing client base and the company is now looking to build on its position in a number of market sectors.
